Taekwondo, meaning "the way of the hand and foot," is a general term used to describe Korea's national sport. We train in a traditional Korean forms. We supplement these punches and kicks with self-defense techniques and overall endurance and flexibility training.

Chief instructor Steven J. Newton Sr. teaches in many of the classes along with other certified instructors.  Mr. Steve started his martial arts training in 1991 under Martial Arts Hall of Fame Master Ivory Irvin. His accomplishments include:

3rd Dan - National TaeKwonDo Federation of America.

•2nd Dan -  National TaeKwonDo Federation of America.

•1st Dan - National TaeKwonDo Federation of America.

Mr. Steven J. Newton Sr.  opened his first studio in 1999 when he graduated high school, left for the military, and later returned to lead martial art classes full time. He has since taught in Iraq, Germany, Virginia & South Carolina.
